In 1998, the Rocking Leprechaun began serving Hershey's Ice Cream in downtown Chimney Rock. Almost 20 years later, the store changed ownership and Village Scoop was born. We serve the same Hershey's ice cream in the same location that has brought smiles to people's faces for years.

Community
We love our community! Village Scoop is mostly staffed by local high school and college students. Your ice cream purchase helps our employees buy their first cars, pay for college, and raise their kids. You can see us at community events such as annual yard sales, fundraisers, and even trick-or-treating. Many of our products, such as our *famous* apple cider shakes, use local ingredients that celebrate our region.
People
We are also a woman-owned business and our staff boasts a diverse range of backgrounds and skills, which we love to put to work! Many of our print marketing materials were created by one of our servers while she studied photography at a local college (and scooped ice cream!). At Village Scoop, we see our staff as people and we want to help them achieve their unique goals and dreams. Thank you for helping us in that mission!
